Gardens often have a “gone over” look in August, when many plants have either finished flowering or are building up their resources for an autumn display. That’s come early this year with the
drought conditions we’ve all been experiencing. We all need to start thinking about building resilience into our gardens, a topic I’ll be giving some thought to as I overhaul my programme of talks
for next year.
